Privacy
Platinum Nupes is a private, invite-only portal. This page says plainly what other members and chapter admins can see, and what you control.
What other members can see
- Your name, username and photo, and anything else you choose to add to your profile: initiation details, career or school, what you are open to, and your businesses.
- Your posts, comments, likes and the events you host or say you are going to.
- Every profile field except your name and username is optional, so you decide how much to share.
What stays private
- Your email address. Nothing in the app shows it to other members, and the database does not let a member read anyone else's address.
- Your direct messages and group chats. Only the people in the conversation can open them in the app. If you turn on phone notifications, the alert only says something like “You have a new message”. It never includes a name or what the message says.
- Your location, unless you turn sharing on. It is off by default. When it is on, other members who also share see only roughly how far away you are, never where you are. It stops showing after 4 hours, and turning it off deletes the stored position straight away (Settings, Privacy).
What chapter admins can do
Admins run membership. They can:
- see members' email addresses and roles in the admin screens;
- invite people, remove members and change roles;
- approve or reject events, and remove posts, comments and events;
- reset a lost authenticator and ask a member to change their password;
- read the support tickets and files you send them.
Admin actions are written to an audit log that other admins can read.
Admins cannot browse your private messages through the app.
Getting help
If you lose your authenticator, want your account removed, or have a question about any of this, contact a chapter admin. Once you are signed in, the Support link at the bottom of the menu sends them a ticket.
